I've just published a new community site called "GeekDinners.com" to allow a central place for people to create new geek dinners, organize individual dinners, allow RSVP's for the dinners as well as register for notification when a new GeekDinner night is happening.
Jean-Luc David (of Microsoft) has been kind enough to setup a Geek Dinner for me to attend on Tuesday night (December 18th) in Toronto, or more specifically in Mississauga near Square One. The name of the place is Jack Astor's and we will be getting started between 6 and 7pm. If you're in town and want come, just show up!
The Atlanta Geek Dinner will resurface next month on May 10th. It will be in the Perimeter area (exact restaurant to be choosen this week). Save room on your calendar for a social, networking event. I think I gave too short notice and only received a single RSVP so I've decided to cancel the geek dinner. I'll reschedule it for next month.
I just got back from my first Atlanta Nerd Dinner. I had a blast and it was great to see everyone there. I am taking over the Nerd Dinner and holding it monthly (instead of Quarterly). Tentatively it is scheduled for December 16th! Look for a location in the next week or so.
We are having the monthly Atlanta Nerd Dinner on December 16th. Follow the link for full details! Hope to see you there.
At the Atlanta Geek Dinner this evening we got talking about a whole boatload of interesting topics. I promised that I would share a couple of interesting links. The first is to a blog called "OldNewThing" from a Microsoftie who explains why old school Windows stuff works the way it does. It's a must have every dev out there:
